To maximize the growth of innovation-based small businesses and jobs, St Elizabeths East is set to become:

  • A revitalized historic campus with new mixed-use neighborhoods of retail, office, housing, open space, and cultural amenities.
  • A center for innovation and excellence that leverages the substantial investment of DC government in infrastructure and other neighborhood amenities and improvements
  • An economic development project that stimulates revitalization and regeneration in South East Washington.

ParkDC

ParkDC is an initiative by the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) to manage and regulate the District’s curbside and parking assets. Leveraging the current Federal Highway Administration (FHWA)-funded parkDC “smart parking” pilot, additional roadside equipment (RSE) will be installed to monitor parking space occupancy, allowing travelers or vehicles to identify blocks with available spaces and DDOT to adjust parking prices so demand is better reflected. Expanded RSE for loading zones will enable enforcement and monitoring of freight parking to reduce double parking and communicate to users. This will enhance the parking experience in the central business district and provide seamless integration with the rest of the RSE.

Glossary of Terms

  • A glossary term

    To add glossary terms, edit the glossary.yaml file in the _data folder.

  • Another term

    Glossary terms need a term, slug, and definition attribute. The term attribute will appear above the definition. The slug is a unique identifier for the term. It should be lowercase, with no special characters or punctuation, and any spaces replaced with a dash.

  • Yet another term

    Want to link to a specific glossary term in your text, like this one here? You will need to edit your markdown like so:

    [this one here](#glossary){:define="yet-another-term"}

    Just place the text you want linked in the brackets and the correct slug within the quotes.
