About this map

This sample demonstrates how a dataset from DC Open Data can be visualized in a D3 dynamic Treemap chart. Basically, CSV download > nest into hierarchy > display in treemap

Instructions
Each rectangle is sized relative to the quantity it represents. At any given time, the treemap shows two levels of hierarchical data: a parent rectangle denoted by thicker lines, and the colored-in children. Click or tap any rectangle to "zoom in" - in other words, make the child the parent and display the next level.
